Lyrics

When you feel afraid Just close your eyes And find yourself In this lullaby The one where you Smile so wide You feel so warm And safe inside Now slip away Sleeping sound Dreaming sweet Softly down This river of peace Where quietly I Sing for you This lullaby All is well All is well Safe and sound in your restful sigh All is well in your lullaby I don't even know what I can do for you It seems like nothing at all But I will sing this song whenever you need me to You need me to It's the least that I can do When you feel afraid Just close your eyes And hear me sing Your lullaby 2003 Eric Addington Music ASCAP

Lyrics

All the saints are accounted for They're set in stained glass In the walls of this sanctuary Performing their miracles Performing their miracles Teaching us how to fight Teaching us how to live Teaching us how to love Teaching us to forgive Teaching us to forgive Echoes of a thousand choirs Echoes of a million amen's Shadows of heads bowing Pieces of broken bread Whispers of blessings given Whispers of prayers unsaid Asking peace for the living Asking peace for the dead In this sanctuary I hope I find But what I search for is undefined In this sanctuary I'll wait patiently For what I search for to search for me Teaching us how to live Teaching us how to love Teaching us to forgive Teaching us to forgive 2004 Eric Addington Music ASCAP

Lyrics

It holds a promise of a new beginning So rise up singing for something everlasting Go through darkness to find the light To find what's right has been there all along These days you're feeling better Living in sunny weather And you're smiling so big I love it when you laugh, it's like singing in my ears I hate to see you cry, but I'll wipe away the tears Because that's what I do That's what I do now You ask for a piece of my heart So I start to give it all to you Please keep it close to your own Never alone even when I'm gone These days you're feeling better Living in sunny weather And you're smiling so big I love it when you laugh, it's like singing in my ears I hate to see you cry, but I'll wipe away the tears Because that's what I do That's what I do now I wouldn't trade what is for what might have been I'd never trade now for then That's what I do now 2004 Eric Addington Music ASCAP

Story

Written on a late winter night in 2002. A very simple and quiet song that came about during a not so simple and quiet time.

Lyrics

So this is my goodbye That's all I have to say I can't tell you why my friend One more song to write One more song to sing Until I say goodnight amen Take me to that place Where forgiveness is easy Take me to that place you are Let me say goodbye Let me sing this song I hope that you are well so long 2005 Eric Addington Music ASCAP

Story

An old song written right around the time I graduated from college. A lot of my friends had plans and jobs, and I felt like I didn't fit in anymore. I was disappointed in myself for the choices I made...or didn't make rather.

Lyrics

I fell behind All of my friends Time passed me by But not them I should have seen I should have planned Where I would be Well I'll be damned Look at me now I got nowhere slow Time went so fast But where did I go? Nowhere slow I used to think Dreams were free But mine ended up costing me Look at me now I got nowhere slow Time went so fast But where did I go? Nowhere slow 2005 Eric Addington Music ASCAP

Story

Here's an unreleased version of Breathe recorded live in studio 2 at McNally Smith College of Music. My friend Brian Forrester had me play a few tunes for his recording class. It was a fun experience playing live and capturing the energy of the song. It was a laid back recording, and a perfect performance wasn't the goal. I like all the little mistakes. Many thanks to Brian Forrester for using me in his class! And, thanks to Merrill Mitchell for being an excellent engineer!

Story

Here's another song live from studio 2 at McNally Smith College of Music. The guitar was tuned down quite a bit from standard tuning on this one. Again, it's fun to play the songs for a recording without the pressure of playing it perfectly. The atmosphere was very laid back and fun.
